Meal plan + ingredient list

I like to plan out my meals for the week. It saves us money when grocery shopping and gives me a set plan for the week, so I do not have to scramble at the end of the work day to make something in a pinch while checking homework, writing, reading, or taking care of the house.



Our weekly meal plan

Glazed salmon with mango salsa, Spicy Thai noodles, Green Goddess pasta, Crispy cauliflower pasta salad, Cauliflower Shawarma bowl, and a peach salad. The family is craving chili, and we need a main dish with pasta salad. I am thinking of black bean smash burgers.

With all this inspiration flowing, I pulled out my journal and made a list of all the ingredients I would need to make all these delicious recipes this week.

Feel free to copy and paste this for yourself. So the pasta salad will be a side dish to whatever meat my family decides they want this week. They tolerate my vegetarian dishes but still love their meat. With fall in the air and not ready to pack up the patio, black bean burgers may just be the perfect main dish to pair with the cauliflower pasta salad. My husband will mix grass-fed ground beef with black beans and seasonings to make smash burgers on his Blackstone.

Yes, the photo above shows specific days for each meal, but we go with the flow on which dish we want on what days. So you do not have to stick to a strict set schedule. Make it your own. Just pick out 6-7 meals and go from there. I usually only pick 6 meals so we can have a day in there where we eat up leftovers.

We just pull out everything and have a smorgis board of leftovers between the 4 of us. Sometimes we do it in the middle of the week or closer to the end of the week. This night is usually reserved when we feel like just having a chill evening. We will watch a movie while we eat our leftovers and just be together as a family.
