What is the craze with Chlorophyll?

So many influencers are raving about the benefits of chlorophyll on all the socials. I was very interested and wanted to know more so to google I went to get more information. The first thing that popped up in my search was these benefits:

Boosts red blood cells

Helps with weight loss

Heals damaged skin

Neutralizes toxins

Cuts inflammation

And prevents cancer.

Sign me up! I need help in all these areas. Medical news today went even deeper and added deodorizing and anti-aging to that list. Medicine.net states it regulates cholesterol, relieves constipation, regulates digestion, regulates hormone balance, and eases fibromyalgia and arthritis. I immediately ordered some from Thrive market by Wellmade that was 85% off for a 4fl oz bottle of liquid chlorophyll making it only $7.49. Added that to my cart and received it within a few days.

What can it hurt to add this to my routine to help aid in my healing and health?

Let’s rewind a pinch…. What is chlorophyll? It is a fat-soluble compound found in green vegetables and plants. The greener the plants the higher the concentration of chlorophyll. Plants use chlorophyll to make food during photosynthesis. Well, that does not really explain anything other than that it helps plants grow. More questions from this curious cat.

I took it daily for a week and here are my results.

Day 1: My shipment arrived, and I was excited to try it out. I put two full droppers in a 20 oz glass of water per the suggested dosage. The swirls as it mixed and turned the water a deep dark green color was mesmerizing. The taste was a strong minty flavor and tart. I chugged it all down with those faces of “damn, that was tart” as my son laughed at me. It gave me some abdominal discomfort like a gas bubble. That could be due to how fast I chugged it so I will chalk that up to user error.

Day 2: Mixed one dropper with 32 oz of water. Day one was too tart and too minty for my liking. This flavor was much better and refreshing. I slowly sipped on it at work during the morning hours, about 2 hours to finish it. Giving my stomach time to adjust to it and learning from clamming it down on day one. I did not get any abdominal discomfort this time.

Day 3: I am still not over the taste. It is like a grassy peppermint flavor. I am not a fan of peppermint, so I tried making it into tea. Not for me, I struggled to get it down and this should not be that hard to take.

Day 4: Since I do not care for the flavor, I thought about making a shamrock shake smoothie. So, I mixed up a whole banana, ice, some heavy whipping cream, and on dropper of chlorophyll. This was much better to drink. The issue with this for me is that I won’t be able to drink this every day. This would be something I could do when I am craving a shamrock shake. So, on the bright side here is a healthy smoothie that tastes delicious.

Day 5: I cannot find a way to prepare this to drink daily. The flavor is not something I want to drink every day. I won’t be giving up on chlorophyll’s benefits, but this will not be in my daily routine. I will add it in a couple of times a month to help aid in my healing.

My thoughts

The regulation of digestion and hormones is what really drew me to try this. As someone with severe gut dysbiosis, I need all the help I can get. I imagined a war going on in my guts like a zombie apocalypse where the good guys are helping the good bacteria to grow stronger and be confident to take down the bad bacteria. As the good bacteria find their confidence they slaughter the bad bacteria causing explosions and turning them into dust. Yes, I have a wild imagination, but this would make a great ad to get people to buy this stuff. Copyright!!!

My digestion improved alongside my vitamin regimen. I was able to go back to my natural deodorant without any stank. My skin was feeling softer and absorbing lotions better. My hormonal acne went down. I feel great, lighter, with better mental clarity, more confidence, and just overall inspired. I will continue using chlorophyll to help aid in my healing and health regime. If you like peppermint this is something you can add daily. If the flavor is too much for you, having it here and there may be the best route for you, it is for me!

More benefits

Due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, deodorizing, and alkalizing properties can also be beneficial in treating bacterial vaginosis, body odor, hormonal acne, and bloating. The list can go on and on. Everywhere I researched I was finding more benefits than believable. This must be a true superfood. If more people knew all these benefits we could help prevent cancer, diseases, infections, and more. Tell everyone you know about chlorophyll! Don’t buy it all up on me though we want everyone to get some, so we are all healthy!

Common questions

Can you take it daily? Yes

Daily dosage: 100-300 mg not to exceed 300 mg

When to take it? Any time of the day. It will not affect sleep patterns, can be taken with or without food, and can be mixed in water or other drinks. Note: most have a minty flavor so water or other minty drinks would be best to mix it with.

Who should not take chlorophyll? Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals.

Where to store? It is suggested to store in a cool dry place so the refrigerator would be the best option.

Are there side effects? Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, and/or diarrhea. If you exhibit any of these symptoms try a lower dosage.

RUN DON’T WALK AND GRAB YOURSELF SOME CHLOROPHYLL TODAY!
