I'm Back Babes!
Dear friends,
I'm sorry for my absence these past few months. I experienced a significant health setback at the end of spring that carried through the summer. I needed to take time to focus on my well-being and recovery. Caring for my body had to be the priority.
I sincerely apologize for dropping off without explanation. Please know it was not intentional. Your support means so much to me, and I regret not being able to connect during this challenging period.
I'm feeling stronger now and look forward to re-engaging with you all. Thank you for understanding my need to prioritize my health. I appreciate your patience and care more than you know.
My depression took a turn for the worse and my eating habits suffered as a result. In an effort to escape my troubled mind, I turned to alcohol to relax and socialize more easily. While it helped me cope in the moment, it hindered my relationships and personal growth. I'm thankful my job remained unaffected, but it's clear my unhealthy coping mechanisms, however temporarily effective, led me down an unproductive path. Moving forward, I'm committed to addressing my mental health more constructively.
Excessive eating led to major digestive issues that I thought I had overcome. Bloating and constipation returned with a vengeance, throwing my hormones out of balance. Breakouts of acne and rosacea, insomnia, constant fatigue, and just feeling lousy plagued me daily. It was clear my body was sending signals that overindulgence had tipped it into turmoil again. By tuning into the messages my body was sending, I gained valuable insight into restoring balance through more mindful nutrition.
As humans, we're not perfect. We all have moments where we stray from our goals. But one slip-up doesn't mean you should abandon your dreams entirely. You can always dust yourself off and get back on track. That's exactly what I did. I took a hard look at my home environment and removed the things that were holding me back. I changed my pillow to one that properly supports my neck and back, helping me get the restful sleep I need. With these small but powerful changes, I'm feeling reenergized and motivated to pursue my healthy lifestyle. We all stumble sometimes, but it's never too late to course correct. With determination, we can turn our setbacks into comebacks.
Minimalism was the goal as I embarked on a closet cleanout, removing excess to create a soothing sanctuary of simplicity. Out went the overflow, narrowing choices to nurture a mindset of intentional living. My family joined the endeavor, purging their own spaces to cultivate coziness. Together we shaped a welcoming refuge, paring down possessions to make room for meaningful connections. The refreshed space now fosters quality time, providing a serene gathering spot where we can appreciate each other's company.
Have you ever heard of liposomal technology? It's an innovative way to help your body properly absorb vitamins and nutrients. When I started taking liposomal vitamin formulas, it was a game changer. The nutrients are encapsulated in tiny liposomes - almost like little bubbles - that can easily pass through cell membranes. This means my cells can absorb the magnesium, B12, D3, colostrum, and pre/postbiotics I've been missing. I used to struggle to get enough of these critical nutrients through diet alone. Now with liposomal delivery, my cells are getting the fuel they need to thrive. The difference in how I feel is night and day. Liposomal technology allowed me to address my specific nutritional deficiencies at their root cause. Now I have the energy, immunity, and overall health I've been seeking. The brands I switched to are Mary Ruth’s, Seed, and Armra.
Colostrum may sound like a strange word, but it's a fascinating substance with incredible health benefits. Let me explain what it is. Colostrum is the first milk that mammals produce after giving birth, usually just for the first few days. This nutrient-packed "liquid gold" contains high concentrations of antibodies, growth factors, and cytokines that provide a major boost to the newborn's developing immune system and digestion.
For us humans, colostrum offers similar perks. Research shows it can strengthen our gut health by improving the lining of the digestive tract. It also gives our immune system a leg up by ramping up the activity of natural killer cells and macrophages. On top of that, colostrum contains growth factors that promote cellular repair and skin health. So, while the name may be unfamiliar, colostrum packs a real nutritional punch. Adding it to your diet could help support overall wellness in a variety of ways.
I took an important step to improve my health and well-being by giving up alcohol. Alcohol consumption can have negative impacts on both physical and mental health. By eliminating it from my life, I aimed to reduce those harmful effects and allow my body and mind to heal. This was not an easy decision, but a necessary one to support my overall health goals. Though challenging at first, over time I found greater clarity and energy as a result of my alcohol-free lifestyle. My journey has taught me the power of self-care through positive life changes. I'm grateful that I chose to honor my wellness by removing alcohol from my routine. The insights gained have been invaluable - I've discovered new ways to care for myself and have a healthier, happier life.
The new self-care practices that have made a big difference in my overall well-being are red light therapy and infrared sauna sessions. They provide powerful healing benefits by improving circulation and reducing inflammation. Regular massages help me unwind and relieve built-up tension in my muscles. Establishing consistent morning and evening routines has also been game-changing - starting the day on a positive note and winding down properly at night has allowed me to get better sleep and wake up feeling refreshed. Though simple, these little acts of self-care have compounded to make me feel healthier, happier, and more energized. I would encourage anyone looking to enhance their self-care to give some of these remedies a try. Even small steps can make a big impact.
Stay tuned, because I'll be keeping you in the loop on these new practices and diving deep into the details in an upcoming post.
