4 steps to reinventing yourself

If you are unhappy with who you are as a person, certain qualities about yourself, character traits, your career, maybe your relationship with food and your body, or other relationships in your life. You are desiring to reinvent yourself

I love learning new things, growing, adapting, evolving, and seeing what I am capable of. Tapping into my potential and I am currently in the process of what feels like a reinvention of myself, I am trying to discover who I am on a deeper level by diving deep and doing some deep work and I want to share that with you. I felt impostor syndrome like who am I to talk about the process of reinventing myself because I am going through it right now, but I reminded myself that there is nothing that I love more than listening to individuals talk about how they are tackling their current challenges and struggles and what they are doing in their life right now. I am in the middle of this process myself so hopefully, you can gain some insight or wisdom into what I am doing to reinvent myself and apply what resonates with you so you can heal as well.

I know now why I had to become so intimately familiar with the struggles with food and body because I would not be in this place if I did not. I could not share this the way that I am now if I had not gone through it myself for over a decade and so if you are in the middle of struggling with something or if you have had past traumas or past hurts or wounds that you are dealing with I just want you to know that there can be goodness and beauty out of the brokenness that you have gone through. That it can be redeemed, it can be used for good, there can be a purpose in it and that is what I am really learning is that all the pain all the trauma, all the experiences that I have gone through if I allow them, they can be made beautiful.

There are other areas of my life besides just my relationship with food and body that needs my attention. Areas of my life that I want to reinvent, past wounds and traumas that need my attention so that I can reach my highest potential. So that I can work through underlying issues that I know are influencing my behaviors on a day-to-day basis. This process can be used to heal your relationship with food, your body, or anything else you need to heal in your life.

1. First step to reinventing yourself is getting truly clear on who you are right now or what is going on in a certain area of your life that you want to really reinvent clarity is so powerful when we have clarity we can then know where we need to adjust, or you know kind of where we are going.

Clarity around what it is that we want a lot of us are in situations maybe it's our relationship with food or body or maybe there are other areas of your life that you're unhappy with all that you're clear on is the fact that you're unhappy and dissatisfied with what's going on in your life. You don't like what's going on, but you have very little idea of what you ultimately want because so much of your energy and your mental blockage is holding you back.

When we take the time to get really clear we then have a target to aim for so if there are areas of your life that you want to reinvent, I would encourage you to get out your journal this is what I am personally doing I have a journal and at the top of the page, I write out what the thing I want to work on. How am I going to create that? I write out as much detail as I can to achieve it and what it would feel like to have that thing and then I start to try and experience feeling the emotions as if it were already my reality.

For Example, I want to get better sleep. How will I create this? I will put my phone away and turn off any electronics a minimum of 30 minutes before bed. I will start my bedtime routine of face care, spraying essential oils on the bed and room to get relaxed, drinking an apoptogenic sleepy time drink, then crawling into bed to relax. After getting into a comfortable position I will read, listen to a calming podcast, and do some brain tapping, or breath work. I also tell myself I will fall asleep quickly, I will get restful sleep, and I will wake energized and ready for the day. These positive affirmations draw in the type of energy I want within me to get a restful night of sleep to set me up for success the next day.

2. Defining where you want to go. Where do you want to go who do you want to be what do you want to embody what do you envision for yourself allow yourself to dream big do not hold back when you are writing these things out and it is so important to take pen to paper and write these things out. research shows that we are seven times more likely to remember something when we take pen to paper to write it out, so you are committed to making changes in your life start getting used to putting things down on paper it is a powerful practice we need to get it out of our head and onto paper and so that is what I am doing in my journaling.

I have committed to taking this process slowly because if I feel like I need to be XY&Z in the next six months I am going to feel a pressure that is unnecessary I am giving myself time to evolve and change and I am giving myself a lot of grace in this process so give yourself the grace to change and evolve. It can take time, be hard, scary, and uncomfortable, but also deeply enriching. It can crack open new potential within us when we commit to change and growth.

3. Create a game plan for how you're going to do it, how are you going to get there, and whom you need to help you. What support do you need, what mentors, coaches, or individuals do you need in your life to support you in that direction? Perhaps you don't know the whole game plan for how you're going to get from A-Z but you probably know a few things that you can do you probably know a few steps proactive steps and things that you could do to start moving in that direction and then what I'm doing personally is I'm writing out whom do I need to help me in this journey.

4. Visualization is so powerful. We can create healing within our own mind and with our own body by visualizing so if we start to visualize exactly what it is that we want and practice experiencing those emotions we become open and available to receive those things in our life.

To step into a greater level of confidence and security, with less fear I must start embodying that if I want to attract that. You can attract it as well, opening your energy pathways and inviting in those healing energies may seem silly but if you truly dive in you will find that it is so powerful.

We cannot just wish for things and hope they become a reality we must step into them and create our reality. These four practices have helped me to change my way of thinking, my habits, my behaviors, and my relationships with food, friends, and family.

If any of these posts are resonating with you please share them with your friends and family. This is the best way to spread the word and help this blog grow! Thank you for joining me today.
